Unemployed youth will get ₹15,000 rupees every month, know how to fill the form

Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana 2025: How will Youth get ₹15,000 on their First Job?

As the issue of jobs and employment remains the biggest challenge for the country's youth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a major announcement from the Red Fort on August 15 – Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. This scheme is especially for those who start their first job and are registered with EPFO for the first time. According to the government, the scheme is being launched with a total budget of ₹1 lakh crore, and approximately 3.5 crore youth will benefit directly from it.

What is this scheme and why is it special?

Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of ₹15,000 to the youth who start their first job in the country's private sector. This assistance will not be given directly to the youth but through their EPFO account associated with their job. The most important thing – youth do not need to apply separately for this.

Who can avail the benefit?

Only those people who are starting their first job and whose name is registered for the first time with EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organisation) will get the benefit of this scheme. Their monthly salary must be less than ₹1 lakh or a maximum of ₹1 lakh. If your salary is ₹15,000, ₹25,000, or ₹50,000 – you may still be eligible.

How will the ₹15,000 be received?

This amount will not be received all at once. The government will provide this assistance in two phases.

  1. After completing 6 months – the first installment.

  2. After completing 12 months and completing the Financial Literacy Program – the second installment.

Therefore, expecting money one month after starting work is not appropriate. It is necessary to be continuously associated with EPFO for six months.

Timeline – Until when will a job holder receive the benefit?

This scheme will start from August 1, 2025, and will run until July 31, 2027. That is, only those who start their first job within these two years will be considered eligible for this scheme. If a youth is already registered with EPFO, they will not be eligible. But if they have never registered their name with EPFO – they will be considered eligible.

Is there a need to apply?

The best news for the youth is that there is no need to fill out a separate form or rush to an office for this scheme. When you start a job for the first time in a company where your PF is deducted and your first registration with EPFO happens – your name will automatically be linked to this scheme.

What will the companies get?

Not only the youth – the government will also encourage companies.
Companies will receive a subsidy of up to ₹3,000 per month for every new EPFO registered employee, and that too for 2 years. If the company is in the manufacturing sector, this subsidy may be extended up to the third or fourth year. The only condition – the employee must be continuously employed for at least 6 months.

Eligibility – What important things must be kept in mind?

Five main things to remember:

  • It must be the first job.

  • It must be your first EPFO registration for PF.

  • Monthly salary must be less than ₹1 lakh.

  • The job must have started between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027.

  • Must be continuously associated with EPFO for at least 6 months.

What is the significance for the youth of Gujarat?

In Gujarat, youth are seeking employment in large numbers in sectors such as MSME, Textile, Chemical, Diamond, and IT sectors. In this situation, this scheme can become a new opportunity for thousands of youth in Gujarat. Especially in cities like Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, and Bharuch, newly EPFO registered youth can take direct benefit.

Finally, know – What is the main message for you?

If you are finishing your studies and looking for your first job or planning to start a new career – this scheme can be a golden chance for you. There is no need to fill any form, no rushing around – just connect with EPFO for the first time and remain in regular employment for 6 months.
